The Circleville Fire Department is a career Fire and EMS Agency that provides 24hour a day 7 days a week service to the City of Circleville and surrounding areas, providing mutual aid to other agencies when needed. Our primary response area is 6.7 square miles, with a population of less than 14,000 citizens.
We staff two (2) Advance Life Support Units, a dedicated Advance Life Support Fire Engine, and run with a minimum of 7 personnel daily. We currently have a staff of 25 personnel that consists of 1- Fire Chief, 3- Captains, 3- Lieutenants, and 18 Firefighters that are all crossed trained to various levels of EMS certifications.
When summoned to a report of fire, we respond with either a Fire Engine and a Aerial Ladder Truck or two (2) Fire Engines in areas that do not have fire hydrants. When we respond to EMS calls depending on the nature of call you may see an Emergency Squad and Fire Engine together, this allows us to respond to calls that may require extra manpower.
Our department provides Fire Safety Inspections, we have four (4) state certified Fire Safety Inspectors on staff. We provide CPR/AED training for our healthcare partners and the community at a fee, and we also provide Stop the Bleed Training at CFD.
The Circleville Fire Department is community oriented and enjoy outdoor public relation events such as, Friday in the Park, Touch-a-Truck events, and visiting our local school campus areas. 100% of all fire prevention materials are purchased with donations from our business partners in the community.
