Firefighting and EMS services are taken very seriously in Circleville. Training is an important task that is undertaken at least 1 day every week. The Circleville Fire & EMS Department also has programs for fire safety inspections, Haz-Mat, NIMS, Fire Prevention, and more.
Circleville Fire & EMS responds 24 hours a day to calls for fire or EMS service, participates in fire prevention efforts, performs fire inspections, investigates hazardous materials, and places effort in improving residential quality of life. The department serves the residents of Circleville with a response area of 6.7 square miles and a population of just under 14,000. There is a Certified Fire Safety Inspector on staff (by appointment only). For appointments, call 740-474-3333.

The Circleville Police Department property room has obtained found property over several years that has not been claimed. If you are missing bicycles (boys and girls), tools, electronic devices, sporting goods equipment, automotive equipment, or any household items please contact the Circleville Police Department property room. You will be asked for a description of the item, make, model, and serial number if there is one. The item will have to be properly identified prior to making an appointment to come to view the item for positive identification and release the item. The Department of Public Service is responsible for maintaining city streets, traffic lights and controllers, storm sewers and catch basins, as well as performing other various duties on a daily basis. We also house our brother department, Building Maintenance. The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the city's buildings.
