Water Treatment Plant

ABOUT THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT:

The City of Circleville Water Treatment Plant is dedicated to providing clean and safe drinking water to our residents. Here are some key facts about our operations:

  • Daily Water Production: We produce an average of 1.3 to 1.8 million gallons of water per day.
  • Water Source: Our four (4) production wells, with an average depth of 130′, draw water from the Teays Water Aquifer.
  • Water Treatment: Our six (6) iron and manganese sand filters remove iron and manganese to levels below .04 mg/l and .01 mg/l, respectively.
  • Disinfection and Oxidation: We add Chlorine for disinfection and oxidation.
  • Dental Health: We also add Fluoride to promote dental health.
  • Water Quality: Our water is considered hard (25 grains/gallon), but is clean and safe for consumption.

Consumer Confidence Report:

Each year, the City of Circleville Water Treatment Plant publishes a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) to inform our customers about the quality of their drinking water. The report provides detailed information on the sources of our water, the levels of contaminants detected, and compliance with federal and state drinking water standards. Information and the PDF document can be found here.
